Student of school No. 67 Yasmina Yasaeva
This competition is held by the Association of Centers for Support of Technology and Innovation and the Caduceus Center for International Cooperation Foundation with the support of the Federal Service for Intellectual Property, in collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Organization, the Eurasian Patent Office, the Committee on Science, Education and Culture of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Department of Intellectual Property, Military-Technical Cooperation and Expertise of the Supply of Weapons and Military Equipment of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, educational organizations of higher education, scientific organizations, business community, public and professional associations of Russia.
The regional directorate of the competition in Rostov operates at the Center for Children’s Technical Creativity. It is the Center that brings together talented children from 7 to 18 years old under its roof.
Their hobbies are very different: they build working models of airplanes, invent robots, model drones… Among them there are those who are interested in journalism and want to become a real master of words.
Recently, the Center hosted a face-to-face stage of the competition, where the children presented their creative works. Everything was interesting, so it will be quite difficult for the jury to name the names of the winners. The results will be announced in April. And today we offer you an interview that Yasmina Yasaeva, a ninth-grader from school No. 67, submitted to the competition.
Wonderful words from L.N. Tolstoy about a teacher: “The teaching profession is a mission that requires dedication, patience and love for one’s work.”
There is an opinion that a teacher is a blacksmith who forges the student’s character. There is a version that the teacher is a jeweler who turns the “child” diamond into the “person” diamond. Who is he really?
To find the answer to this question, I talked with teachers of different generations working in our school.
“Children taught me to forgive”

Valentina Ivanovna Zhuchenko
My first interview was with everyone’s favorite physics teacher, Valentina Ivanovna Zhuchenko. Her teaching experience is over 50 years. At 86 years old, she successfully prepares children to participate in competitions and “makes” students fall in love with physics.
– Valentina Ivanovna, why did you choose the profession of a teacher?
– I think that everyone who chooses this profession takes their teachers as an example. I had an example of teachers in the difficult post-war years. They taught us life, kindness, friendship, and to love our Motherland. They taught us how to work and help lonely elderly people. Taking care of mass graves…
“Teacher is a long-range profession, the main one on Earth,” said Robert Rozhdestvensky.
– What keeps you at school all these years, what brings you joy in your work?
– What is holding me back? Obviously not a salary.
It’s hard for me to formulate an answer. My whole life is connected with school.
What brings you joy? Definitely the success of my students. In recent years alone, about twenty graduates have connected their lives with aviation and astronautics. Four of my students became laureates of the Presidential Award for Supporting Talented Youth, two of them became teachers at the universities where they studied, and one works at the Nuclear Research Center.
Our school has an extraordinary creative team, half of them are my students…
– Valentina Ivanovna, has the student’s portrait changed during your work? Have your parents changed?
– Every time has its own students. Something important was lost, new touches came in its place. This is especially noticeable during changes. Previously, children ran and played games, today they are motionless and busy with their phones. This is a clear sign of the times.
Parents, as before, are always there, ready to help the children and the teacher. True, today they are busier and devote less time to children.
– Have you changed during this time?
– Like all my colleagues, with age you become calmer, more patient and wiser. The main thing is to increase knowledge.
– They say that over the years of work, teachers study with children at the same time. What have your children taught you?
– Children taught me to forgive. I have never regretted becoming a teacher. The concepts of “work” and “life” are inseparable for me.
– What are your wishes for the new generation?
– Be dedicated to your chosen profession. A teacher is truly the main profession on Earth.
“Today’s children are amazing people”

Kamilla Andreevna Timoshenko
I took the following interview with my class teacher, Kamilla Andreevna Timoshenko. She worked at our school for six years.
– Kamilla Andreevna, how did you choose the teaching profession? What do you want to give to children?
– I always loved to study, and I liked explaining things to others. Seeing their eyes light up when they understand what I’m talking about. When I got older, I realized that I didn’t just want to share knowledge, but to help children find their way and reveal their talents.
What kind of teacher am I, you need to ask your students. I think that he is not strict and understanding. It is important for me that each of my students feels comfortable in class and is not afraid to ask questions and make mistakes.
– How do you see today’s students? Is it easy to find a common language with them?
– Today’s children seem to me to be amazing people. They have the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and find innovative solutions. They have access to a huge amount of information, and many of them know how to use it.
It is easy for me to find a common language with my students. Perhaps the small age difference plays a role here: I understand many of their jokes, I know Internet trends and can carry on a conversation.
– How to find a balance between being a friend to a student and maintaining the authority of the teacher?
– Friendship with a student does not mean that you have to be the friend with whom you share all your secrets and spend your free time. It is rather something like a friendly relationship, based on mutual respect, trust and understanding. A teacher can be open, friendly, and willing to listen, but still set clear boundaries.
– You work in different classes, teaching history and social studies. What, in your opinion, is the most important universal secret of working with any class?
– The universal secret of working with any class, in my opinion, is the ability to establish trusting relationships and create an atmosphere of mutual understanding. Each student is unique, and it is important to take into account their individual characteristics, interests and needs.
– Indeed, we are all different and sometimes naughty. How do you cope with stress and negativity at work? Where do you look for inspiration and new ideas?
– I have several proven methods that help me keep myself within limits. Firstly, I try not to hoard everything inside myself. If something is really bothering me, I can talk to someone close to me or a colleague I trust. Sometimes just speaking out is half the battle. Secondly, physical activity helps a lot. Even a short walk after school or going to the gym is a great stress reliever. I look for new ideas for my work in different sources, meet with teachers from other schools, and go to a master class. The students also gave me a lot.
– Will you continue your work at school?
– Yes, sure. I really enjoy sharing knowledge and seeing students grow and develop. I feel like I can bring a lot of value in this area.
“I don’t remember the first day of school very well.”

Tatiana Sergeevna Agapova
Tatyana Sergeevna Agapova is an English teacher. I came to work after my third year and have been teaching for three years now; I even have a class guide.
– Tatyana Sergeevna, why did you choose this profession? What do you want to give to children?
– I chose the teaching profession because I love children. I always wanted to be creative. And teaching activity is associated with creativity and creativity.
I want to give children high-quality knowledge, develop in them a desire to learn and learn new things, develop their strengths and qualities, and encourage their interests. I think that the social development of children in school should be given the same attention as intellectual development. I am a teacher and must certainly help children adapt to life in a team, society as a whole, and prepare them for real life situations. I want to develop in them such human qualities as kindness and honesty, love and compassion, respect for themselves and adults, so that they become good people and achieve a lot in life.
– What kind of teacher do you see yourself as? What kind of children do you want to see?
– It seems to me that I am a fairly good teacher, capable of competently organizing the course of a lesson, clearly explaining the material, and understanding children’s needs. I treat each student with respect and impartiality, I do not shift my problems and bad mood onto the children. I always go to meet them.
– What was your first day like? How did the children greet you?
– I don’t remember my first day at school as a teacher, because my excitement that day was off the charts. I was very worried that I wouldn’t be able to cope with this role. On the second day, I already went to work with joy, as the children greeted me very warmly. On my part there was a respectful attitude towards them, and the students responded in kind.
– What difficulties did you encounter at the beginning of your journey?
– At my first job at another school, I encountered a problem regarding relationships in the team of teachers. Senior colleagues treated me with disrespect. Considering me not knowledgeable enough and too young to work as a teacher. Now I work at school No. 67 and I’m very happy about it, here all young teachers are treated with respect, offer their help, and give advice.
Yes, working as a teacher is very difficult; you need to store a huge amount of information in your head and be extremely mobile. Be able to react quickly to various current situations and at the same time remain in a good mood. After all, children read the internal state of adults. You need to communicate with them only in a good mood.
– After finishing your studies, will you come to work at school?
– Now I cannot give an exact answer to this question; in the future I still have to defend my diploma. Maybe I’ll continue my studies.
– What is the main thing for you?nym in pedagogical work?
– The main thing is the growth of children’s knowledge and abilities, as well as children’s love and respect.
After all, being a teacher is not an easy profession: it’s probably very difficult with us children. In general, all the teachers who teach us every day accomplish a huge feat – they cope with the horde of naughty ones rushing along the corridor like a whirlwind, sweeping away everything in its path. They should erect a monument for this! During life.
