Camden County prosecutors revealed that the victim was allegedly forced to withdraw from school in 2018, effectively ending her formal education before she completed the seventh grade. The victim’s escape on May 8th was aided by a concerned neighbor who alerted the authorities. A subsequent search of the residence revealed the allegedly deplorable conditions in which the victim was forced to live, alongside numerous animals, including dogs.
Tragically, the victim’s 13-year-old sister was also found in the home. Like her older sister, she had also been withdrawn from school several years prior. Prosecutors have confirmed that both sisters are now safe and receiving the necessary support.
