Sotheby’s auction house announced on Friday that it will display at public auction an artistic sculpture, which is a toilet made entirely of pure gold, made by the Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan, and titled “America.”
The house indicated that the piece of art, which weighs about 101 kilograms of gold, is completely usable, and is an identical copy of the famous work that made headlines in 2019 after it was stolen from Blenheim Palace in England.
