‘Weapons’ trailer: Missing kids are the mystery of horror movie
Julia Garner stars as an elementary school teacher whose kids disappear from their homes overnight in the mystery horror film “Weapons.”
After killing it at the box office, the hit horror film “Weapons,” has become available to rent or buy on multiple streaming services.
Written and directed by Zach Cregger, “Weapons” follows the strange story of 17 children, all from the same class, who mysteriously vanish on the same night at exactly the same time, leaving the community questioning who or what is behind their disappearance.
Running just over two hours, the story is told from the perspectives of six different characters, according to USA TODAY. It stars Julia Garner as the third grade teacher, Benedict Wong as the school’s principal and Josh Brolin as a student’s dad.
‘Weapons’ box office
“Weapons” has been a major hit among audiences and critics since its Aug. 8 release, grossing more than $260 million worldwide, according to a report from Forbes, which added that a prequel is officially in the works.
The mystery thriller has earned an 85% rating from verified theatergoers and a 94% certified fresh score from film reviews compiled by Rotten Tomatoes.

“Weapons” is currently available for streaming on multiple platforms including Prime Video, Apple TV+ and Fandango At Home.
You can rent “Weapons” for $19.99 or purchase it for $24.99. If renting, you have 30 days to start watching the film and 48 hours to finish once started.
Where and when will ‘Weapons’ stream?
While an official release date has not been announced, “Weapons” is expected to stream on HBO Max in the future, according to Forbes, as the horror film is distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.
Per Forbes, Warner Bros. typically adds its theatrical releases to HBO Max between 60 and 100 days after the premiere, meaning that “Weapons” is likely to appear on the streaming platform between early October and late November.
