Defeating ‘Watermelon’ with one 360-degree round kick… Hot topic humanoid robot
Chinese robotics company Unitree Robotics has released a video of a humanoid robot smashing a watermelon with a 360-degree spinning kick.
In the released video, the robot showed off a variety of martial arts moves, including not only spinning kicks but also flying kicks and kicks on 30- and 60-kg sandbags. This video is a demonstration video to demonstrate the balance maintenance ability, collision response, and full-body control performance of Unitree’s humanoid robot ‘H2’, which was released at the end of last year.
H2 is a humanoid robot with a height of 182 cm, a weight of about 70 kg, and 31 joints. It is a research and development model with a battery that operates for about 3 hours and high-level dynamic motion control capabilities.
Unitree previously attracted attention online by releasing a video of its H2 and G1 robots doing kickboxing. There is growing interest in how this demonstration of difficult movements will lead to the possibility of using humanoid robots in the future.
