Kenny Chesney is currently holding a residency at the Sphere Las Vegas, performing between May 22 and June 21. He is the first country music artist to headline the venue.

During his show, Chesney paid tribute to his roots in Knoxville, Tennessee, by showcasing a scene from a University of Tennessee football game. The backdrop featured the Pride of the Southland Band, a customary highlight for Vols fans at Neyland Stadium.

Chesney also welcomed fellow Knoxville native Kelsea Ballerini to the stage. Together, they performed “Half Of My Hometown,” “You & Tequila,” and “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy.” The pair previously performed “Half Of My Hometown” at Ballerini’s 2023 Knoxville homecoming concert at Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center.

Born in 1968, Kenny Chesney spent his childhood in Luttrell, just outside of Knoxville. He is a graduate of Gibbs High School, also attended by morgan Wallen, and is an alumnus of East Tennessee State University.
