Discuss how to treat cancer in the Symposium of Urology
The Department of Urology, Bundang Seoul National University Hospital (Director Song Jung -han), recently announced that it has co -hosted the International Urology Medical Symposium at the Hospital Auditorium with Osaka University Hospital in Japan.
In this ‘SNUBH-OSAKA University Urology Symposium’, experts from the two countries discussed the latest treatment of urinary cancer such as kidney cancer, bladder cancer and prostate cancer and precision medical treatment strategies.
The symposium has been held alternately in both Korea and Japan since 2012. This year, it was hosted by Bundang Seoul National University Hospital to share clinical experience and research results and to seek practical cooperation.
The event began as a co -welcome speech by Hong Seong -gyu, head of urology at Seoul National University Hospital, and the head of urology medicine at the University of Osaka Osaka, Nonomura. In the two sessions, presentations and discussions were held on various topics such as kidney cancer, malignant tumors, bladder cancer, and prostate cancer after transplantation.
In the first session, Professor Shigaki Nakazawa (Osaka University Hospital), Professor Yeon -soo Chung, and Kato Daigo (Osaka University Hospital) presented cancer, new cell cancer radiation, and liquid biopsy diagnosis of kidney transplant patients. In the second session, Professor Lee Hak -min, Professor Atsunari Kawashima (University of Osaka), and Professor Song Sang -heon shared their clinical experience on the application of PSA levels and biopsy, bladder cancer assistance, and prostate hypertrophy robot surgery.
Hong Sung -gyu, head of the department, said, “We will continue to conduct regular academic exchange and joint research based on our long cooperation with Osaka University Hospital.”
The Department of Urology, Bundang Seoul National University Hospital, plans to expand international cooperation further with this symposium.
