Egyptian actress Hala Sidqi has voiced her support for Syrian actor Salloum Haddad, following his statements regarding the varying levels of fluency in classical Arabic among Egyptian actors.

In a phone call to the “Details” program, sidqi stated that “The Syrian artist Salloum Haddad may be right due to the lack of artistic works currently showing the capabilities of the artists and their mastery of the Arabic language, so we do not have abdullah ghaith and Ashraf Abdel Ghafour.”

During an interview with Egyptian media personality Nihal Tayel, Sidqi elaborated, “The whole new generation has not seen any artistic works in the Arabic language, and I personally do not know the Arabic language (classical), and this does not diminish from me as an actress, we lack the arabic language, and we must hear the Arabic language from broadcasters and media, and this onyl happens in the news bulletin.”

She further commented on “Echo Country 2”, questioning, “Most of the announcers are talking to the street in the street, so why is the sensitivity of Salloum Haddad’s statements?

It’s vital to note that Salloum Haddad has since apologized for his initial remarks, clarifying that they were “taken out of their context.” He added, “I apologize to everyone who felt the abuse, because the Egyptian artists are our professors, and we learned from them in the theater and television, and I cannot allow myself to lack their destiny or status.”

Haddad referenced the saying “The blood money at the esteemed,” originally said by Al -Harith bin Abbad after the death of Kulayb bin Rabia, brother of Al -Zeer Salem, a character Haddad portrayed.
