Israel announces it killed another Basij militia leader
The Israeli army claimed in a statement to have killed the intelligence chief of the Basij paramilitary militia in a bombing in Tehran.
“Esmail Ahmadi, who held the position of head of the Basij intelligence directorate, was eliminated” on the night of March 16 to 17, in a bombing against a meeting held under a tent of several commanders of this paramilitary organization and killed its leader, General Gholamreza Soleimani.
“In his duties, Ahmadi played a central role in promoting and carrying out terrorist activities carried out by the Basij forces. Furthermore, he was in charge, on behalf of the Guardians of the Revolution, of ensuring respect for public order and the values of the regime,” the army stated.
