United States (US) President Donald Trump arrives in Malaysia. He will attend the ASEAN Summit (Summit) which will be held in Kuala Lumpur.
Reported AFP And Free Malaysia TodaySunday (26/10/2025), Trump landed at Kuala Lumpur International Airport this morning local time. Trump was greeted directly by Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim at the airport.
In Malaysia, Trump is scheduled to attend the ASEAN Summit. It was a meeting he missed several times during his first term.

He will also sign a trade agreement with Malaysia. He will also witness the signing of a ceasefire agreement between Thailand and Cambodia.
“We will sign the Peace Agreement as soon as it arrives,” Trump said on social media about the ceasefire he helped broker after the deadliest clashes between Thailand and Cambodia in decades.
Trump said he hoped to meet with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on the sidelines of the ASEAN summit to improve relations with the leftist leader after months of feuding. During a refueling stop in Qatar on his way from Washington, Trump also met with the leaders of the Gulf emirate which is one of the guarantors of the Gaza ceasefire deal spearheaded by Trump.
This is Trump’s first trip to Asia that will include high-stakes trade talks with China. Trump is scheduled to meet Xi in South Korea on the final day of his regional visit in a bid to reach a deal to end the trade war.
As he left Washington, Trump added to speculation that he might meet North Korean leader Kim Jong Un for the first time since 2019. He said he was ‘open to that’.
Trump will also visit Japan. Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One that he hoped for a ‘comprehensive agreement’ with Chinese President Xi Jinping. He also hopes China will reach an agreement to avoid further 100 percent tariffs that will take effect on November 1.
