Samsung Marathon completed… “Galaxy Watch evolves into a smart health management tool”
Samsung Electronics announced on the 20th that it had successfully completed the ‘Galaxy Watch Run @Safari’ held at Everland.
At the event held on the 19th, it was planned as a fun running event where you could experience the ‘Galaxy Watch 8 Series’, which is equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) and is specialized for running, and run through Everland’s Safari World and Lost Valley, which were usually only accessible by car.
About 700 people selected through a lottery attended the event. They ran 4.82km through Everland Safari World and Lost Valley and experienced a unique experience of running with animals.
Participants also took advantage of the AI function by executing Samsung Health’s ‘Running Mode’ using voice commands through ‘Gemini’ installed on the Galaxy Watch 8 series.

Samsung Electronics provided a commemorative medal in the shape of the Galaxy Watch 8, a day-use ticket to Everland, and commemorative goods to all finishers.
Lim Seong-taek, vice president of Samsung Electronics Korea, said, “The Galaxy Watch Run, which starts for the first time this year, is an event that allows for a unique experience of running in Everland without anyone before opening and in a space where only animals can enter.” He added, “Galaxy Watch is a trainer on the wrist of runners, providing a personalized running coaching program and evolving into a smarter health management tool.”
