No Angels WhatsApp Group: Secrets Revealed

by drbyos

Many fans would certainly like to read along: The No Angels organize their band life via a shared chat group. Now they reveal who stands out with which quirks.

Köln. The No Angels do it like many groups of friends and families: the singers manage their everyday life via a shared chat group. In the exclusive group, in which only the band members Lucy Diakovska, Jessica Wahls, Sandy Mölling and Nadja Benaissa are represented, both private and professional matters are discussed, as they revealed to the German Press Agency.

“This group is one of the most important things there is for us,” Lucy told dpa. “We talk privately, but also about work. About time in the studio or promo dates. We organize our everyday band life around it and it also keeps us together,” she said. This is significantly different than at the beginning of the band’s history 25 years ago. “When we met, there was no WhatsApp yet,” Lucy remembered. “But we didn’t need a WhatsApp group because we saw each other all the time anyway. We were a living WhatsApp group.”

Global band, digital solution

The current chat group is said to have been created in 2020 – before it was decided that the No Angels were aiming for a comeback. The pop band took a break from 2014 to 2021.

The WhatsApp group was particularly important at the beginning to connect the band members who were “scattered across half the world,” said singer Jessica. «Lucy in Bulgaria, Sandy in Los Angeles. It wasn’t so easy to connect.”

And what is happening in the group today? Jessica revealed that she “always likes to send in a Tiktok video to make others laugh.” Lucy, on the other hand, often sends photos because she has “just met someone”. “Sometimes we send each other photos of clothes and think about whether it could be something for the stage,” said the singer.

Lucy – Queen of missteps

However, it’s not that easy for the band members to keep track of things. In addition to the pure band chat group, there are many others in which more people are represented in different constellations – for example a group with management or with the social media team.

“You really have to keep an overview,” said Jessica. With a laugh she said: “Lucy is the one who writes to the wrong group most often and has to be whistled back by us.”

The No Angels emerged from the talent show “Popstars” in 2000. With “Daylight in Your Eyes” they immediately landed their first big hit and became probably the most successful female band in Germany.

The No Angels recently released their new song “I Still Believe”. The song is the anthem for this year’s RTL fundraising marathon on November 20th, which collects money for children in need. A No Angels Christmas album is also due to be released soon.
