Last year, the turnover of wooden window and door manufacturer SIA “Staļi” was 8.228 million euros, which is 2.4 times less than the year before, while the company’s losses were 859,622 euros, which is 3.2 times less than the year before, according to “Firmas.lv” information.

The annual management report of “Staļi” states that the company is engaged in the production of wooden windows and doors, blanks, furniture boards and wood chip pellets. Production is mainly exported to European Union (EU) countries, such as Sweden, Estonia, Lithuania, Italy, Germany and others.

The company’s management explains the drop in production sales last year, compared to 2023, with the insecurity of buyers due to uncertainty in the world.

The management report states that in 2025, after the crisis of the second half of 2024, “Staļi” actively renewed both cooperation with previous years’ customers and acquired new ones, including actively returning to the Latvian market and approaching the largest construction companies in Latvia for cooperation, as well as expanding the range of customers in Scandinavia (Sweden, Norway and Denmark) in the production and delivery of wooden windows and doors.

The management of the company states that in 2025 it has been possible to restore post-payment cooperation with the most important suppliers of raw materials for windows and doors. Likewise, the supply of logs is currently received from suppliers with a post-payment term.

The management of “Staļi” informs that in 2025 three online stores have been opened – in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. More stores in Germany and Finland are in the process of opening.

Also, “Staļi” is actively working on the prevention of complaints from previous years, which allows restoring customer trust and resuming interrupted cooperation with customers.

The company’s management informs that the wood chip pellet segment is working at full capacity of the production equipment, and there is a growing demand both in the domestic market and in Europe. In 2025, work began on the restoration of the production of wood chip pellets, planning to expand the range of pellets, in addition to wood chip pellets, pellets made from wood chips will also be offered on the market.

Currently, “Staļi” sees a positive trend in reducing the prices of certain raw materials from suppliers, such as fuel, cellulose chips and others. This allows us to positively predict a stable increase in turnover and also profit in the future.

“Staļi” is currently also seeing an increasing demand for glued wooden boards and boards, which will also increase significantly in 2025. Due to the mentioned reason, the production of slabs, which was stopped in July 2024, was resumed in March 2025 and currently these production volumes are increasing with the plan to restore them to the previous volume.

New orders are now being received regularly from export markets, the management report said. “Staļi” is also currently exploring new markets in this product segment – in 2024, deliveries to Denmark were made to a new client that manufactures furniture, as well as in 2025, negotiations are underway to start/renew cooperation with clients with whom cooperation was or was planned in 2024.

In connection with increasing activity in the window and door segment and larger orders that “Staļi” concluded with customers during January and February 2024, the company’s management predicts that the production capacity of panels and shutters will increase even more due to window orders.

The turnover of “Stalhi” in 2023 was 19.307 million euros, while the company’s losses were 2.715 million euros.

“Staļi” was registered in 1993, and its share capital is 5.418 million euros. The sole owner of the company is Ilze Dambe.
