Oil, Gold & Silver Prices After Trump Speech: Analysis

Oil prices jumped by more than four dollars on Thursday after President Donald Trump said that the United States would continue its strikes in Iran, including on energy and oil targets, over the next few weeks, without committing to a specific timetable for ending the war.

Brent crude futures increased $4.88, or 4.8 percent, to $106.04 per barrel by 0200 GMT. US West Texas Intermediate crude futures rose $4.17, or 4.2 percent, to $104.29 per barrel.

Gold fell after Trump’s speech in instant transactions by more than 2% to $4,650.23 per ounce, and silver fell by more than 3% to $72.48 per ounce.
