Zelenskyy described the strike as “one of the most horrifying attacks on Kyiv,” reporting that more than 440 drones and 32 missiles were launched across various regions of Ukraine.
“Putin is doing this solely because he can afford to continue the war. He wants the war to continue. It is bad when the powerful of this world turn a blind eye to this,” the Ukrainian leader stated in a Telegram post.
This attack is the latest in a series of extensive drone and missile assaults on the Ukrainian capital, coinciding with the Group of Seven (G7) meeting in Canada, where Zelenskyy is expected to participate.

According to Klymenko, thirty apartments were destroyed within a single residential building. He cautioned that the death toll is likely to increase as emergency responders search for bodies within the collapsed apartment structure.
People sustained injuries in the Sviatoshynskyi and Solomianskyi districts of the city. Kyiv’s Mayor vitali Klitschko reported that fires erupted in two additional Kyiv districts due to falling debris from drones intercepted by Ukrainian air defenses.
