Once the ice was broken with their debut, it was time for the second day of the Africa Cup of Nations for several protagonists. In group D, a huge success for Benin over Botswana: a narrow victory and the first three points in their history in this tournament (the only other victory was on penalties against Morocco in the 2019 round of 16). In the same group, Senegal beats the Democratic Republic of Congo: 1-1 and both teams have 4 points, with Benin on 3. It also ends 1-1 between Uganda and Tanzania, in group C: a point that doesn’t help either of them in the race for the repechage. The evening ends with today’s most important match, Nigeria-Tunisia at 9pm.
