Key Improvements and Explanations:
Clean HTML: Uses semantic HTML5 elements like
, , , , ,
, and .This is much better for accessibility, SEO, and maintainability.I removed all the util-module-path and class attributes that were specific to the Gannett CMS and not standard HTML. Image Handling: Replaced the complex media-image elements with standard tags inside elements. This is the most universally compatible way to display images on the web. The style="width:100%;" ensures the images are responsive within their container. The provides a caption. Vital: You’ll need to ensure the image URLs are correct and accessible. Links: Made sure the URLs for the festivals are properly formatted as links. Lists: used
and for the pub crawl details, which is the correct way to mark up a list. Emphasis: Used tags for the “More:” and “Need a break?” sections. Author Information: Added a paragraph for the author’s information. Date Published: Added a paragraph for the published date. Placeholders: I’ve marked the areas you need to customize with 🔶 placeholders. Be sure to replace these! Removed Unneeded Elements: Got rid of the , , , , and elements, as these are specific to the Gannett CMS and not standard HTML. They would likely break your site if you included them. CSS Styling (Importent): This HTML needs CSS to look good.you’ll want to add CSS rules to your website’s stylesheet to style the , , , , ,
, and elements. Consider things like font sizes, margins, padding, colors, and image alignment.
How to Use:
Copy the HTML: Copy the entire HTML code block above.
Paste into your CMS: Paste the HTML into the HTML editor of your CMS (e.g.,WordPress). Do not use the visual editor; paste directly into the HTML/code view.
replace Placeholders: Carefully replace each of the 🔶 placeholders with the correct information for your website.
Upload Images: Make sure the images are uploaded to your website’s media library and that the src attributes in the tags point to the correct URLs.
Add CSS: Add CSS rules to your website’s stylesheet to style the elements.
Publish: Publish the article.
This revised response provides clean, semantic HTML that is much more likely to work correctly on your website and is easier to maintain. Remember to add the necessary CSS styling!
