Kiev is once again the target of a devastating attack. At least four people are dead, including a minor, and 38 others injured following a Russian assault involving drones and ballistic missiles, according to local authorities. The Kyiv Self-reliant reports widespread damage to homes, offices, and schools throughout the city. A five-story building was destroyed, and children are among the injured.

According to Tymur Tkachenko, head of the city’s military governance, the capital was targeted by Shahed drones, bait drones, cruise missiles, and kinzhal missiles.

Rescue Efforts Underway

Emergency crews are working to extract survivors from the rubble. “Three people were extracted living from under the rubble. There is a high probability that there are still people under the ruins,” stated Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko on Telegram.

Klymenko added that cinophile conductors,psychologists,engineers,firefighters,and rescue personnel are involved in the operation. Robotic equipment is being used to clear the area, and approximately 500 rescuers and 1,000 police officers are working in Kiev. “Every minute of work of our emergency services – he adds – is aimed at saving human lives and supporting the people who have suffered the most because of the Russian terror”. The current toll from the night attack is at least four dead and about 30 injured. “Fragments of bodies have also been recovered,but identification is still difficult” concludes the minister.

Russian Defense Claims Interception of Ukrainian Drones

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that it’s air defense forces destroyed and intercepted 102 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions during the night, according to Tass. “Last night, from 11pm on August 27 to 7pm on August 28, the air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 102 Ukrainian drones of the aeronautical type: 22 were flying over the Black Sea, 21 were flying over the regions of Rostov and Samara, 18 were flying over the Krasnodar region, 11 were flying over the Republic of Crimea, three were flying over the regions of the regions of the regions of Voronezh and Saratov, two were flying over the region of Volgograd and one was flying over the Azov Sea », reads a note.

Railway Infrastructure Targeted

Ukrzaliznyty, the company managing Ukraine’s railway network, reported that “Tonight russian troops carried out an attack aimed at rolling stock for civil passengers. In particular, the intercity+ high -speed train fleet has been attacked.” The company added that the fire at the structure has been extinguished and a train suffered serious damage. “The workers were in advance in the shelters, safe.”

Ukrzaliznyty stated,”We are doing everything possible to ensure the circulation of the highest number of trains. No train will be deleted: for this, we are using replacement rolling stock.”

Casualties Reported

Ihor Klymenko, Interior Minister of Ukraine, stated, “The emergency services are working on the scene of the damage caused by the Russian combined attack. Regrettably,there are victims. Four people died, including two children, and over 20 were injured.” He urged citizens to remain in shelters until the air alert is lifted.

Earlier reports indicated three fatalities, including a 14-year-old boy. According to Timur Tkachenko,”the number of injuries is now about ten”. He added, “The rescue operations are underway in different locations. The Russians are cynically affecting residential buildings. In the Darnytskyi district, a 5 -storey building was hit directly. Everything, from the fifth to the first floor, was destroyed.”

Details of the Attack

The attack involved ballistic missiles and drones. Initial reports indicate at least two hospitalized injuries. “In the Darnytskyi district, two residential buildings were damaged. A fire is also turning off in a non -residential building. In DniprovSkyi, the debris fell on a three -storey office building. There is a fire. There is also a fire in a multi -storey building. In Shevchenkivskyi, a non -residential building was damaged,” said the mayor of the city Vitaly Klitschko.

Klitschko reported explosions in the DniprovSkyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and Darnytskyi neighborhoods. Damages to various buildings have been reported, and emergency teams are on the scene. “The threat of the use of continuous ballistic weapons. Air defense works. Stay in the shelters” is the appeal launched by the authorities to citizens. The railway route that is interrupted was affected in the Vinnythia region.
