The president of the United States, Donald Trumptogether with the first lady, Melania Trump, delivered this Thursday dozens of candy to children dressed in costumes at the White Houseas part of the traditions prior to Halloween night.
Trump, a few hours after his tour of Asia, participated in an event at the presidential residence, handing out candy to dozens of costumed children for more than an hour, in front of one of the entrances to the White House that was decorated for the occasion.
“It’s a long line, almost as long as the ballroom,” Trump shouted to the press as he handed out candy.
Among the costumes highlighted a child dressed as a T-Rexas well as several with soldier costumes, pumpkins, McDonald’s fries, among others.
Even a child who appeared to be dressed as Trump bumped fists with the president during the activity.
For more than three decades, the White House has invited children to tour different areas of the residence and are welcomed by the first lady, who orchestrates a candy delivery every year.
