Terror Attack Foiled in US: Northern States

The FBI had been following an online discussion around this attack for some time, according to American media.

According to CNN, the members of the discussion had discussed this attack, had trained with automatic weapons at a shooting range and had made reference to “pumpkin day”, a symbol of Halloween.

In a Facebook post, Dearborn police said the FBI acted early Friday morning in this suburban Detroit city.

“We would like to reassure our residents: there is currently no threat to the population,” she said.
