IP4 is closed between Pousada do Marão and the Campeã junction due to snowfall, revealed this Saturday, March 9, the Tâmega e Sousa Sub-Regional Command.
According to the Sub-Regional Command, that section of IP4, in the Amarante area, has been closed in both directions since 8:20 am and will remain so until weather conditions improve.
Snow falls with some intensity in some places in the Vila Real district, affecting road traffic, however only the IP4 road is closed to traffic.
According to the GNR, the main highways in the district — the A24, the A4 and the A7 — They are passable, although we advise great caution when driving in some sections. Snow plows are on the ground clearing the main roads.
