To do this, Karla Andrade, 36, gets up at 5am, takes the first 50-minute flight to Ibiza, teaches at a school close to the airport and returns to Palma in the late afternoon, she says in an interview with the agency of EFE news. She spends “600-800 euros per month” on flights, says the primary teacher, who has had this routine for a year and thus manages to save around a thousand euros on accommodation. In Palma, the capital of the Balearic Islands which is also a tourist destination in Spain, she pays the mortgage on the house where she lives with her husband and two children under the age of three.
