In response to the election of Sanae Takaichi, leader of the Liberal Democratic Party, as prime minister, opinions were raised in Shibuya, Tokyo, as well as opinions on policy expectations and critical voices on politics and money issues.
An office worker in his 20s said, “I’m looking forward to it because the ‘ideas’ expressed on TV and social media felt more passionate than any award I’ve received so far, and I felt truly motivated to work.”
A mother in her 20s with a newborn said, “It costs money when a child is born, so it would be helpful if there were more benefits and support related to childcare.”
Meanwhile, an office worker in his 50s said, “I don’t think life will change much from before,” and added, “I think companies and organizations will continue to treat donations so carelessly that the conclusion will be delayed.”
