Shakira Madrid Concerts: New Dates & Record Sales

by Archynetys Entertainment Desk

Shakira breaks a sales record by selling more than 450,000 tickets in a few hours and, so that no fan is left without experiencing what will be one of the biggest celebrations of the Latin community, she adds two more dates: Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11. Tickets for these new dates will be on sale today, Friday at 2:00 p.m. at livenation.es, Ticketmaster and El Corte Inglés. The new dates are added to the concerts already scheduled for September 18, 19, 20, 25, 26 and 27 and October 2, 3 and 4.

After a year of concerts around the world, Shakira will end her tour Women no longer cry in Madrid. And she won’t do it just any way: the Colombian singer will have her own stage created especially for the occasion, the so-called Shakira Stadium, of which details are slowly becoming known. This Friday, the artist has published images of what her performances will look like in which the large screens, fireworks and areas of Macondo Park – a small thematic city within the Iberdrola Musica venue itself where the concerts will take place – will already be an experience for the public.

“My God, this stadium looks incredible!! Can’t wait to see you all at my European residency in Madrid!!”, wrote Shakira in a publication on her social networks this Friday that within a few hours already had more than 145,000 likes. The future stage is a burst of color, with a continuous screen several meters high and wide so that it encompasses the entire audience in the stands.

This European residency is bringing together fans from various countries, reinforcing the international nature of the project. The artist, one of the most influential figures on the global music scene, thus reaffirms her close connection with the public and her ability to bring together hundreds of thousands of fans. Under the motto “It’s Latina”, this event coincides with the celebrations of the Latin community in the world.

Produced by Live Nation Spain, the European residency in Madrid will be held at the Shakira stadium, a spectacular temporary venue integrated into Iberdrola Music with capacity for more than 50,000 fans per night. Designed by the renowned architecture studio Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), it will offer total visibility, state-of-the-art acoustics and premium experiences for fans, introducing the international artistic residency format for the first time in Spain.

Es Latina, as its promoters have called this show, is conceived, as the organizing company itself explains, as something “more than a concert.” A stadium called Shakira is planned to be built at Iberdrola Music, in Villaverde, within a “parallel city” called Macondo Park that will host concerts, exhibitions, talks and other activities with the purpose of “celebrating shared cultural roots and highlighting Madrid as a global stage for diverse voices.”

It will be in a space of 40 hectares, four of them for the stadium, which will host around 50,000 people with an immersive screen of the latest technology, “something that does not exist at the moment in Europe and that will come from China.”

Ahead of the Madrid residency, Shakira will continue the global expansion of her 2026 tour with more dates, including a previously announced performance in Brazil this spring. She will be the main artist of the highly anticipated Todo Mundo No Rio concert on the iconic Copacabana Beach, in Rio de Janeiro, on May 2.
