Schiphol Airport Drone: Netherlands Air Traffic Disrupted

by Archynetys World Desk

A drone was seen on Saturday at Dutch Airport in Schiphol. A track was therefore temporarily closed, as confirmed by the Dutch police after information broadcast by the NOS television channel.

According to a spokesperson, several plane pilots reported the presence of the drone, around noon. The air traffic of the Polder track was then diverted to the Zwanenburg track, another takeoff and landing track of Schiphol. The national gendarmerie and the air police, among others, searched the drone and its pilot, but found nothing. After three quarters of an hour, the polder track was reopened.
