Coach Excluded for Violence at Hyogo Prefectural Sasayama Sangyo High school

On the 26th, interviews with schools and other organizations revealed that Nagasawa Hiroyuki (72), who was the coach of the Hyogo Prefectural Sasayama Sangyo High School’s Hardball Baseball Team, had been excluded from coaching for violent acts on his club members in July.
According too the school’s explanation, on July 10th, just after losing at the Hyogo tournament this summer, Nagasawa inappropriately gave inappropriate guidance to the members who tried to participate despite being injured in a red-white match between first and second-year members on the school’s field.
When interviewing members of the school, at least about 10 people said they had seen or heard Mr. Nagasawa punched one second-year member in the face.
Nagasawa admitted to the violent act and was told he missed the baseball team’s coach. Another manager will be in charge of the Autumn Regional Tournament that began this month.
Mr. Nagasawa is from Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture. He played in koshien as the manager of Kamimura Gakuen (kagoshima) and Soshi Gakuen (Okayama). He finished second in the 2005 selection tournament at Kamimura Gakuen. At the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, she served as head coach of the Japanese women’s softball team.
In October 2022, tamba Sasayama City, Hyogo Prefecture invited Nagasawa to become the city’s special sports promotion officer, aiming to revitalize the region through sports. Mr. Nagasawa was a member of the city’s duties, and was teaching club activities for high schools in the city.
Tamba Sasayama Mayor Sakai Takaaki held a press conference on the 26th and apologized, saying, “I am sorry that the promotion officer had gone through the move.” He then expressed his view that “the city’s investigation did not show that he had hit him. He just hit him lightly.” He said he would wait for the decision of the high School Baseball Federation to consider the city’s response.
The Hyogo Prefecture High School Baseball Federation says that they are currently checking details with the school.
