Rolls-Royce Cullinan Cosmos: Child-Inspired Design

by Archynetys Technology & Science Desk

The new Rolls-Royce Cullinan Cosmos seeks to be more than a luxury variation of the British SUV: it is a work of art on wheels designed to capture the imagination, born of the shared dream of some parents and their son of just four years.

In charge of the Rolls-Royce Bespoke Division-and channeled by its private office in Dubai-, this exclusive vehicle incorporates unique details that distinguish it from any other cocks.

The center of the creative idea is the inner ceiling, known as Starlight Headliner, which in this case has been completely painted by one of the factory artists for more than 160 hours of work.

The work recreates an ethereal interpretation of the Milky Way, with the effects of stellar mist and constellations, achieved through more than 20 layers of acrylic paint. To achieve a delicate texture and slight light and shadow effects, not only classic brushes were used, but also makeup brushes for the most subtle pigments of the galaxy.

Manually perforated optical fibers have also been integrated to create stars that shine down, combining with the pictorial work. Thus, the head of the occupants becomes a night sky that mixes art, crafts and technology.

The exterior accompanies that spatial vision: the body is dressed in arabescato pearl, suggestive as the lunar glow, topped with “coachline” lines by hand in Charles Blue. The classic Spirit of Ecstasy ornament in the hood has enlightened to look like a distant star at night.

Inside, the environment is designed to evoke tranquility, reflection and wonder. Leather Charles Blue and Grace White upholster the reclining seats, combining elegance and comfort, while embroidered and hand -painted details of the “Star Cluster” motive appear in the headrests, doors and dashboard panels, reinforcing the cosmic theme. Also, White piano moldings (shiny white finish) provide a contrast that remembers polished, almost futuristic surfaces, such as satellites.

Under that hood, nothing strange: the V12 engine of the most powerful culelinan, with high power and total traction, continues.

The project is a clear example of what the Rolls-Royce Bestoke program allows: extreme customization, dialogue with the most visionary customers, higher quality materials, handmade details, and a capacity to transform a car into something symbolic, emotional.
