A wildlife sanctuary in the Tararua and Wairarapa districts is facing a financial crisis and urgently needs funding to stay open. The Pūkaha National Wildlife Centre, a not-for-profit organization and breeding sanctuary for native birds, including kiwi, has issued an urgent plea for financial help.
