St John’s say a person has been seriously injured following a police pursuit in New Windsor, Auckland on Thursday.
Police confirmed a vehicle crashed on Boundary Road shortly after officers initiated a pursuit just before 7.30pm.
A spokesperson for St John’s said the person – which RNZ understands to be the driver of the vehicle – was transported to Auckland hospital following the crash.
The vehicle has been confirmed as stolen by police who say the driver will be facing charges.
