Former Russian President medvedev Mocks European Leaders After White House Meeting
Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has criticized European leaders for their perceived failure to “outplay” U.S. President Donald Trump during a recent meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House.
Medvedev took to X,writing in English,”The anti-Russian warmongering Coalition of the Willing failed to outplay @POTUS on his turf.”
The “Coalition of the Willing” is a group of European leaders who have united to support a peace agreement in Ukraine. Attendees at Monday’s meeting included French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, and Finnish President Alexander Stubb.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and European Commission President Ursula von der leyen also participated.

Medvedev claimed that these leaders “thanked” and “sucked up” to President Trump.
Medvedev questioned what “tune” Zelenskyy, whom he derisively called “the Kiev clown,” woudl “play about guarantees and territories back home, once he’s put on his green military uniform again.”

Monday’s meeting followed Trump’s summit with Putin in Anchorage,Alaska,last Friday. Following the White House meeting, Trump stated that he had spoken with Putin to begin coordinating the next steps in the peace process aimed at resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
Trump announced on his Truth Social platform that he had contacted his Russian counterpart to start “the arrangements for a meeting” with Zelenskyy, which would be followed by a trilateral meeting involving the two presidents and the United States.
“The anti-Russian warmongering Coalition of the Willing failed to outplay @POTUS on his turf.”
The Republican president also confirmed that the U.S. would support European security guarantees designed to prevent Russia from re-invading Ukraine after the war concludes.

Earlier in the day, Trump was overheard telling Macron that Putin was interested in finding a resolution to end the war, although a Russian official later softened those comments.
Russian state media,citing putin’s foreign affairs adviser Yuri ushakov,reported that Putin had spoken “in favor” of continuing direct talks between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations.
