Revelation of last winter, including a podium in Sankt-Anton, Malorie Blanc is attacking a new World Cup season this weekend in Saint-Moritz. The Valaisanne spoke to Gaëlle Cajeux’s microphone.
Second in the Sankt-Anton downhill on January 11, with a bib 46 on her combination, Malorie Blanc made a splash last season. The Valaisanne hopes to continue this good momentum during a new exercise which, for her, begins this Friday in Engadine.
“I am motivated to attack this season, especially since St. Moritz gives butterflies in my stomachbreathes the skier from Ayent. Now I know what the World Cup is, I’m no longer “new news”, and that feels good. I have confidence.”
Calm and lucid, Malorie Blanc intends to keep her feet on the ground. “I want to maintain the freshness that suited me well last year, by skiing with my head free, with a simple planshe continues. We must apply the recipe that worked well in Sankt-Anton to as many races as possible..”
Beyond that, the Valaisanne happily shares a little dream. “The goal is to express myself as well as possible on the track and, if I do, I might have my ticket to see what happens in Cortina“, she says with a big smile.
