Soprano Marlis Petersen and Pianist Stephan Matthias Lademann to Perform “Blossoms of Love” in Bayreuth

The acclaimed soprano Marlis Petersen and pianist Stephan Matthias Lademann will perform a song evening, “Blossoms of Love,” at the Margravial Opera House in Bayreuth.
Four-time singer of the year, Marlis Petersen, known for her performances in major opera houses and festivals, will make her Bayreuth debut on Thursday, July 24, at 7:30 p.m. She will be joined by pianist Stephan Matthias Lademann at the Margravial Opera house in Bayreuth for an evening of song.
A Program of Love and Roses
the performance, known as “Blossoms of Love” will feature works by Robert Schumann, Richard Strauss, and Alexander Zemlinsky, all centered around themes of love and roses. The evening will culminate in a performance of Richard Wagner’s Wesendonck songs, evoking the atmosphere of “Tristan”.
“Dimensions-Mensch & Lied”,three CDs about the “world” to the “Innerworld” and finally to the “New World”
In 2020,petersen and Lademann received the Opus classic award for their collaborative project,”Dimensions-Mensch & Lied,” a collection of three CDs exploring themes from the “world” to the “Innerworld” and finally to the “New World.” The recordings were made in the Blaibach concert hall on the Steingraeber wing.
About the Artists
Marlis Petersen’s portrayal of the Marschallin in “Rosenkavalier” at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich in 2021 led to her being honored with the title of Bavarian Chamber singer. Stephan Matthias Lademann, originally from Meissen, has been based in Vienna as 1997. He is a professor at the University of Music and Performing Art in Vienna, specializing in song and oratorio design. Together, Petersen and Lademann share a passion for song poetry projects and creating cohesive, impactful programs.
