Lola Murder: Accused Dahbia Benkired’s First Words & Regret

by Archynetys News Desk

“I killed her and that’s it,” said Dahbia Benkired during the investigation

The president begins reading the charges against Dahbia Benkired.

On the day of the events, Friday October 14, 2022, Lola returned from college and walked to her parents’ apartment, in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. She then meets Dahbia Benkired, sitting near the entrance and whose sister lives on the 6th floor of the same building, at 3:11 p.m.

Young Lola was then taken by force to the apartment of Dahbia Benkired’s sister. After locking the door, the accused raped the child several times before “wrapping” his body with heavy tape, including his face.

The child, who had been left naked and dying in the entrance to the apartment, died of “mechanical asphyxiation”, specifies the president. Lola suffered numerous violence, inflicted with a knife and a scissor, while she was still alive, according to the forensic findings read by the president.

Dahbia Benkired appears again on surveillance video at 4:48 p.m. She wears another outfit and with great difficulty pulls a black trunk, where Lola’s corpse is hidden, as well as two suitcases.

This trunk will be found by a homeless person in the building lobby at 11:20 p.m. “The head was partly severed at the neck”explains the president. A “1” and a “0” were written in red writing under the victim’s feet. A pair of scissors and an oyster knife stained with reddish marks were found in Dahbia Benkired’s luggage.

“I killed her and that’s it.”declared the accused during her first interrogation. Later, she said she saw Lola transform into a “ghost” or a “devil” on the day of the incident.

The motive remains very unclear at this stage. During her 4th hearing in police custody, Dahbia Benkired indicated that she had «un contact» with Lola’s mother, caretaker of the building with her husband, to obtain an access badge which she would have refused him. She would then “had hatred”. The accused subsequently retracted her remarks.
