Greifswald: Car Hits Pedestrians & Flees – Witness Appeal

On October 30, 2025, at around 2:15 p.m., a traffic accident occurred between a car and a pedestrian in the parking lot of the Aldi market on Peter-Warschow-Straße. According to the current state of the investigation, the 75-year-old Hungarian citizen was moving as a pedestrian in the parking lot when a red car reversed out of the parking space, overlooked the pedestrian and subsequently collided with the pedestrian, causing him to fall. The previously unknown driver then drove away from the scene of the accident in his car without permission. The pedestrian was slightly injured in the traffic accident and was taken by ambulance to the emergency room at Greifswald University Hospital for further treatment. Criminal proceedings were initiated against unknown persons on suspicion of negligent bodily harm and escape from a traffic accident.
