One accuser, a 54-year-old decorator identified as Amélie, claims depardieu made lewd comments and groped her in September 2021. Another, Sarah, a 34-year-old directing assistant, alleges that Depardieu touched her breasts and buttocks in August 2021.

Anouk Grinberg, an actress in the film, voiced her support for the accusers, demanding justice and emphasizing that impunity is unbearable.

While this trial focuses on the 2021 incidents, Depardieu faces accusations from approximately twenty women, tho many of these claims are beyond the statute of limitations.In August, the Paris Prosecutor’s Office requested that the actor be tried for sexual violations and aggressions. Depardieu has consistently denied the allegations, stating in an open letter published in Le Figaro in October 2023, I never abused a woman.
