For the fourth consecutive year, the top performers from the spring high school playoffs have been recognized with the announcement of the All-Championship teams.

The selections prioritize players who clinched titles this spring,creating an all-star roster of softball,baseball,lacrosse,and Ultimate athletes.

The All-Championship softball, boys lacrosse, and Ultimate teams where chosen by Judith Altneu, while Alex Abrami selected the players for the baseball and girls lacrosse All-Championship squads.

ALL-CHAMPIONSHIP SOFTBALL TEAM

Anastase Bourgeois, Oxbow Union High School

This year’s Vermont Gatorade winner, Anastase Bourgeois, continued her dominant pitching during the playoffs, allowing just one run across 19 innings. Bourgeois finished with a 3-0 record, allowing six hits and striking out 38 batters, as Oxbow extended its winning streak to 66 games and secured a fifth straight Division III title.

Mazie Bourgeois, Oxbow Union High School

Mazie Bourgeois batted 8-for-14 during the playoffs, with two doubles, two triples, and a home run. The junior catcher drove in five runs, contributing to Oxbow’s championship victory.

Genevieve Forand, Mount Abraham Union High School

Genevieve Forand was a consistent hitter during the Eagles’ championship run. The junior shortstop batted 5-for-9 with a double and recorded eight RBIs in three games for the Division II state champions.

Megan Gonyeau,BFA-St. Albans

megan Gonyeau pitched a total of 17 innings during the Comets’ playoff run,posting a 3-0 record. Gonyeau pitched complete games in the semifinals and the championship. Against Colchester, the right-hander struck out 13 batters and allowed four hits. In the Division I championship, Gonyeau struck out 16 batters and allowed just two hits, finishing the playoffs with 34 total strikeouts.

Peyton Guay, West Rutland High School

Peyton Guay was in the circle for all three of West Rutland’s playoff wins. She also fell a single shy of the cycle in the Golden Horde’s semifinal victory and added a hit and RBI in the Division IV title-game victory over Leland & Gray, 19-4.

Mara McGinn, BFA-St. Albans

Mara McGinn’s hitting helped the Comets earn a trip to Castleton. In BFA’s quarterfinals game, the sophomore hit a double and a home run contributing five RBIs. In the semifinals, McGinn smacked a solo home run.

Abby Parker, Mount Abraham Union High School

Abby Parker got on base all five times in the Division II championship game after taking four walks.The Eagles capitalized on Parker’s presence on base, with the senior scoring three of Mount Abraham’s six runs. Parker was also hot at the plate during the early rounds of the playoffs going 7-for-10 with two doubles and three RBIs.

Noemi Rosa, oxbow Union High School

Noemi Rosa stood out among Oxbow’s hitters, recording multi-hit games in each of Oxbow’s three playoff games. Rosa went 7-for-13 at the plate with two doubles, a triple, a home run, and five RBIs for the Division III champs.

Gretchen Toy, Mount Abraham Union High School

Gretchen Toy pitched in all three of the Eagles playoff games earning the win in all of them. Toy pitched all 10 innings of Mount Abraham’s 6-5 victory over Lyndon in the division II championship game throwing 153 pitches. Toy batted 7-for-13 at the plate with a double, two home runs and 10 RBIs.

Amelia Weber, BFA-St. Albans

Amelia Weber hit a two-run home run supplying the only runs in the championship game and helping the Comets complete an undefeated season in Division I. Earlier in the playoffs, Weber went 3-for-4 with a double and four RBIs in BFA-St. Albans’ 22-2 victory over North Country in the quarterfinals.

Camyrn Williams, West Rutland High School

Camyrn Williams racked up four hits and a trio of RBIs as west Rutland pulled away from Leland & Gray for a 19-4 win in the Division IV championship game.

Kennah Wright-Chapman, West Rutland High School

Kennah Wright-Chapman homered in the quarterfinals win and again in the semifinals, a game-tying shot that was her 12th of the spring season. And in the final, she had a hit and RBI.

ALL-CHAMPIONSHIP BASEBALL TEAM

Kason Blood, Blue Mountain Union High School

Kason Blood went 4-for-6 with two doubles and four RBIs in helping Blue Mountain capture a Division IV three-peat. In the 4-1 win over West Rutland in the title game, the senior was 1-for-2 with a trio of runs scored.

Connor Decker, St. Johnsbury Academy

Connor Decker did his damage in the Division I final vs. Mount Anthony, going 2-for-4 with a double, triple and three RBIs as St. Johnsbury won a 9-7 thriller to claim the program’s first crown in nine years.

AJ dennett, Missisquoi Valley Union High School

AJ Dennett had a strong performance in the semifinals and championship of the Division II tournament as the Thunderbirds completed a perfect season (18-0) and claimed their first crown as 2011.In the semis, Dennett doubled twice and drove in two runs. And in the final, Dennett’s 2-for-5 day included a double and five RBIs.

Will Eaton, St. Johnsbury Academy

Will Eaton went 3-for-4 with an RBI in St. Johnsbury’s 6-2 comeback win in the Division I quarterfinals. He also had three hits with a double and RBI in the 4-1 win over South Burlington in the semifinals. And in the title game, his RBI single gave SJA the lead for good in a back-and-forth affair.
