Dominika Cibulková Husband: Love Story & Wedding Details

by Archynetys Entertainment Desk

The relationship between Klára Cibulková and the well-known actor Tomáš Pavelka, who shone in the film Waves or the series One Family and is a member of the Municipal Theaters of Prague, is unusual in its own way. But in a positive sense. These two met during their studies at DAMU, when they were on a boating course in Ponešice. They fell in love with each other and their love has lasted to this day. It is not without interest that their wedding night took place at the same place in cabin number 29. “It’s one of about three where the beds can be pushed together,” explained with a smile the sympathetic blonde, who is now part of the series Polabí, where she replaced Vilma Cibulková.

They had a wedding without their parents

Today, the couple have two children together. Daughter Magdalena and older son Matyáš, who was already born when his parents got married. The actor’s wedding was a secret, not even their parents knew about it. But not because they were afraid of “bad” journalists, they simply wanted to do things their way and enjoy everything to the fullest. “Because we experienced a series of friends’ weddings that everyone had a great time, but the newlyweds didn’t. So we did it our way.” confirmed Pavelka. At that time, the son was “departed” to be looked after by the Cibulk family, saying that they were going to Hluboká for the 65th anniversary of local administrator Honza Hrouzek.

When it was all over and they went to pick up the child, the actor had a bouquet in one hand and champagne in the other and asked the parents of his chosen one if she would marry him. “Her mum cried and said yes. And I said – that’s good because I already married her!” They later organized something like for their loved ones meeting over coffee and cake on the Prague embankment. They showed wedding photos there and told stories from the party. Without stress and the feeling that someone might want something different.

It must be said that the couple do not make a big deal about anything. This is evidenced by the story that took place during their wedding night. “When we went to bed, the caretaker threw the keys to the cabin by my wife’s neck. We called to the cabin and they couldn’t find the keys.” recalled Pavelka. The idea that they would have to come back very socially exhausted was unimaginably humiliating to them. So they decided to get to the cabin in a different way. They were lucky because the window was open, so they both somehow crammed inside. “And in the morning I found the keys in my nylons,” added the actress with a laugh from her husband.

They told her she would never have children

In fact, their positive attitude towards life is to some extent responsible for the fact that they are where they are today. Some time ago, Cibulková heard from doctors that she would never have children. Dd has scoliosis of the spine since childhood and her condition was definitely not trivial. The prognosis was that I would not have children and that I would have four by the time I was forty and I will dig with my finger to be operated on. I have two children. But I have to exercise every day. I have to have my muscle corset, I go to exercise regularly with my physiotherapist and every morning I have to set my body to work,” she explained how she had defied fate.

And one more thing they are somehow different. While their colleagues often focus only on success in the small Czech pond, the couple have already experienced what it’s like to play from the USA, specifically in Washington and New York. Tomáš Pavelka performed in the comedy Protest/Rest, which is composed of Václav Havel’s briefcase, and Klára Cibulková in the drama Pankrác ’45.
