The test match against FC Schalke 04 at the bridge planned for this Saturday at 2:00 p.m. cannot take place due to weather and space conditions and has been officially canceled.
The precipitation in the form of rain and snow as well as the associated low temperatures of the last few days make it impossible to host the test match. Despite the pitch heating being switched on and clearing work being carried out, the pitch cannot be played on; the risk of injury to players and referees is too high.
A cancellation is also advisable in view of the arrival of the numerous fans from the area. Some roads are still covered in snow and are affected by freezing water. In some regions, local public transport has been suspended.
All ticket holders for the test match between “Purple-White” and “Royal Blue” will receive relevant information in the next few days.
