Bruno Salomone Death: ‘Don’t Do This, Don’t Do That’ Star Dies at 55

He was one of the faces of humor in France. The actor Bruno Salomone, well known to viewers for his role as Denis Bouley in the family series Don’t do this, don’t do that on France 2, died at the age of 55, his agent announced to AFP this Sunday March 15.

“It is with immense sadness that we announce the disappearance of Bruno Salomone” said Laurent Grégoire, on behalf of the comedian’s family. “He passed away this Sunday March 15 after fighting a long illness”.

He made his debut at the end of the 1990s within the troupe Nous Ç Nous alongside, in particular, Jean Dujardin. He found the latter in the film Brice de Nicein 2004, in which he played the role of Igor d’Hossegor. He also lent his voice to the show Burger Quizhosted by Alain Chabat on Canal+ then TMC.

One last TV appearance last year

After spending part of his childhood in Marseille then in the Paris suburbs, Bruno Salomone made himself known by participating in 1996 on the show Star Seeds on M6. He then became a member of We Ç Webefore going solo on stage.

Actor in cinema, television but also theater, he had also practiced dubbing, notably being the voice of Jolly Jumper in the Lucky Luke by James Huth (2009), whose title role was entrusted to Jean Dujardin.

Don’t do this, don’t do that left the air in 2017 after 9 seasons. She made a first return at the end of 2020 with a Christmas TV film, then a second in December 2024, for two new episodes. The comic spring of this successful series is the antagonism between a bobo family, the Bouleys (played by Isabelle Gélinas and Bruno Salomone), and a reactionary family, the Lepics (Valérie Bonneton and Guillaume de Tonquédec).

His last appearance on television was last year, in the series A priori on France 3. The channel has just announced that season 2 would resume at the end of March with former swimmer Florent Manaudou as headliner, in place of Bruno Salomone.
