The former president of the Government of Madeira Alberto João Jardim defended today that an agreement between the PSD and Chega in the region is not acceptable, warning that there are no “good extremisms”.

“Neither Chega is acceptable, nor the communists are acceptable. The Portuguese must not fall into deception. There are no good extremisms,” said Jardim, when asked by journalists whether an agreement between the PSD and Chega in Madeira would be acceptable. .

The historic leader of the PSD, who was speaking in Ponta Delgada, in the Azores, on the sidelines of a conference on the 50th anniversary of the 25th of April, defended that the social democrats cannot “get involved in the conversation” that “there are good extremisms” .
