The New Package Of Sanctions Against Russia Will…

by drbyos

The minister indicates that the member states will discuss with a view to the fastest possible approval of the package.

In April, Latvia proposed, in the 14th round of EU sanctions, to supplement the ban on the export and transit of raw materials with manganese ore and aluminum oxide – raw materials that could be used in military production in Russia. Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) stated that Latvia considers EU-level solutions to be the most effective tool to limit the flow of goods, which could help Russia’s ability in the war against Ukraine.

After the beginning of Russia’s repeated invasion of Ukraine, the supplies of manganese ore needed for the weapons industry to Russia increased dramatically. Although the country has small manganese reserves, their extraction is not developed at an industrial level, so Russia relies almost entirely on manganese imports. Preliminary data show that in 2023, Russia imported two million tons of manganese ore, which is a record amount. Manganese ore is used in the production of high-quality steel required for gun barrels, armored vehicles and tracks for such vehicles.

According to the information available to “Postimees” newspaper, out of two million manganese ore exported to Russia last year,

Collective Spirit And Diligence Helped Japan Stand Up…

From a defeated nation after World War II, Japan has emerged strongly thanks to the collective spirit and diligence of each individual.

Editor’s note

Many countries around the world have risen to achieve outstanding achievements, becoming developed countries and even great powers thanks to their strong national spirit. VietNamNet would like to introduce to our readers some successful countries thanks to such spirit.

Lesson 1: The spirit of studiousness makes the Jewish people successful

According to Britannica, when Japan had to surrender unconditionally on August 15, 1945, the Asian country was in an extremely difficult situation. At that time, the two cities of Tokyo and Osaka were 60% destroyed, industrial production was only 10% compared to before the war. However, only 17 years later, Japan’s GDP rose to the second largest in the world, surpassing long-standing powers such as England and France.

During this 17-year period, Japan created no landmark technology, had no huge foreign investments, and had no abundance of natural resources. But the Asian nation still thrives, thanks to the nation’s long-standing virtues: collective spirit and diligence.

In fact, Japan’s rapid development comes from many subjective and objective factors.

Palestinians In Gazas Displacement Camps Face Rampant Disease…

It is an unexpectedly hot day in Rafah City. A tent catches on fire in the middle of the camp. The fire spreads quickly, spreading to other tents with the wind. People look on in astonishment or run between the tents in an attempt to put it out. They scream loudly and call for help, but the fire keeps spreading.

Civil Defense crews near the Tal al-Zaatar area in Rafah arrive on the scene and put out the fire, but not before it had spread to a few other neighboring tents. A few meters away, Samih al-Nahhala, 48, explains how his tent had been the first to go up in flames.

The minute he and his family had sensed danger, they jumped out and were able to avoid the sudden conflagration, Nahhala says, but they lost all their belongings, or at least all that they owned that had not already been lost since their displacement.

“Using the tent for everything in one place leads to many risks,” al-Nahhala tells breaking news. “Including this fire that broke out as a result of my family’s use of cooking tools near the tent. That’s what caused it.” Behind Samih are the charred remains of a row of several tents.

Reported by AFP, Friday (3/5/2024), this is the latest attack carried out by the remnants of the group ISIS. This attack was revealed by the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights

ISIS took control of most of Syria and Iraq in 2014. They proclaimed a so-called caliphate and launched terror.

The group was territorially defeated in Syria in 2019, but its remnants continue to carry out deadly attacks, especially against pro-government forces and Kurdish-led fighters in the vast desert. ISIS remnants are also active in neighboring Iraq.

Israel’s Vision for Post-War Gaza Reconstruction

Recent revelations⁣ from the Prime Minister’s ⁣Office shed ⁢light on Israel’s ambitious strategy to revive the Gaza Strip’s economy after the conflict. The plan, spearheaded by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, aims to bring stability to the region and⁣ integrate Gaza into the broader economic landscape⁢ through substantial investments in infrastructure and economic development.

Rebuilding Gaza for a Sustainable Future

The proposed initiative focuses on the reconstruction of Gaza with the objective of fostering a more moderate political environment. Described as an “Iranian outpost” disrupting potential trade networks and hindering the prosperity of the Palestinian population, Gaza’s historical significance as a pivotal point on key trade routes is emphasized.

Strategic Steps Towards Progress

  • Humanitarian Aid: The initial phase involves establishing secure zones free from Hamas influence, gradually expanding from north to south. A coalition of Arab nations, including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, Bahrain, Jordan, and Morocco, will oversee the distribution of aid within these safe zones.
  • Gaza Rehabilitation Authority: Over the next five to ten years, Israeli security responsibilities will transition back to Israel, while the Arab Coalition will establish t he Gaza Rehabilitation Authority (GRA) to supervise reconstruction efforts and financial management in the Strip.
