There was a major traffic accident involving several vehicles on the A8 near Munich early this morning. As the police announced, the motorway was completely closed to traffic in the direction of Munich. There were major disruptions in rush hour traffic on the way to the state capital.
Accident on the A8 near Munich-West leads to a full closure
At around 5:50 a.m. there was a major accident involving several vehicles near the Munich-West motorway junction. In connection with the collision, a car spun and remained in the left lane with a broken axle. Therefore, the A8 in the direction of Munich had to be completely closed for some time.
The police and fire brigade were quickly on site with a number of emergency services. The fire brigade tried to clear at least one lane for traffic, the police reported. One person was slightly injured in the accident.
