The Viennese (fun) punk rock trio INSANE HABITS around the two brothers Stefan and Thomas Pravits, which is complemented by Freud and bassist Mark, has not only been making music together since 2007, but has intensified the band’s work again from 2021 and so it is they are now launching a new EP with “How To Grow Up And Fail Miserably”. The whole thing, as befits a punk band, with a good portion of DIY.
In addition to the catchy party song “For No Reason,” which was released last summer, INSANE HABITS are really fun, especially when the trio sets the tempo in the style of NO FUN AT ALL or SATANIC SURFERS, i.e. the Swedish skate punks of the 90s in “12 Hours” or the crisp “Iron Ice Tea” with his Jello Biafra (DEAD KENNEDYS) memorial singing. And especially live, the tracks are sure to go down like suppositories.
