Pakistan Theater Festival Will Be Cultural Diplomacy: Organizer
Theater groups from different countries performed on the second day of ‘Pakistan Theater Festival 2023’ at Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi on Saturday.
The festival, which started on Friday evening, was inaugurated by director and actor Salman Shahid’s theater ‘Patriot and Abdullah’.
According to the schedule, today the American theater group ‘Uplift’ will present their play ‘Through the Waves’ while on Sunday the Sri Lankan dance group ‘Kanya Rax’ will perform.
Theater groups from America, Germany, Turkey, Iran and Sri Lanka are participating in the festival.
Arts Council Karachi President Ahmed Shah said, ‘This is the first of its kind in Pakistan and the biggest theater festival in the country’s history, in which theater groups from all over the world are participating. Therefore, it can also be called the International Theater Festival.’
