Wisconsin Crashes: Icy Roads & Accidents

by Archynetys News Desk

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – Sunday’s ongoing snow led to slippery road conditions, leading to various crashes and runoffs across Western Wisconsin.

From 11 A.M. – 7 P.M. The Wisconsin State Patrol reported over 34 runoffs, 18 crashes with property damages, five crashes with unknown injuries and two with injuries. That is only for the Northwest portion of the state.

Earlier in the day, the snow piled up on the roads, making visibility a bit challenging as the snow was pretty heavy when it first started.

It’s important to always be mindful and drive with caution in slippery conditions as State Patrol anticipates the number of crashes to increase with the ongoing snowfall.
