Nine Rocks Games and THQ Nordic have been working on “Way of Hunter 2” for some time now. Now a release is getting closer, because the hunting simulation is starting early access today, at least on the PC. The release for Xbox Series X|S is not planned until the end of the test phase in six months at the earliest.
Four years after the first part, in “Way of the Hunter 2” players discover the vast natural areas of North America in what the developers say is an advanced open world. Here you can feel the thrill of the hunt and seek out the wild and wonderful species that the Canadian wilderness has to offer. Players hunt and observe large game such as elk, elk, bears or bison as well as smaller animals such as rabbits, turkeys and various species of birds.
As a new hunter in the area, you also face a series of challenges in the campaign that take you through two landscapes and introduce an ensemble of diverse characters. In New Laurentia, players work with an experienced dog handler and help the former game warden unravel the mystery behind the strange behavior of the local moose population.
