The trucks were parked early in the morning on the I/38 road in the village of Vílanec in the Jihlav region and also near the village of Rozňák in the Havlíčkobrod region. Road I/34 near the village of Věž between Havlíčkový Brod and Humpolec was impassable, and trucks blocked traffic on II/602 in Olešná in Pelhřimovsk. Problems were also reported on the approaches to the D1 near Humpolka.
Accidents are increasing, according to the police, so far without serious consequences. For example, the driver of a tanker with feed whey crashed, his car overturned on its side before six o’clock on the I/23 road near the village of Markvartice in the direction of Stará Říše in Jihlavsk.
Police warn that problems will increase with increased morning traffic. “That’s why you need to be extra careful and adjust your driving speed to your abilities and weather conditions,” spokeswoman Dana Čírtková pointed out.
The situation on the roads also complicates the work of the traffic police. “Driving times are getting longer and accident participants wait longer at the scene for the police to arrive. Therefore, we recommend drivers, if possible, to resolve minor accidents with less damage and no injuries through their insurance companies and by filling out a Euroform,” recommends the spokesperson.
Regional road administration and maintenance equipment is in the field, drivers can monitor the current state of road treatment here.
