A high-profile controversy broke out in Venezuela after some young women carried out a dance considered “obscene” inside a church.

This is an event that occurred in the Nuestra Señora de Coromoto Sanctuary, located in the town of La Aparión, in the state of Portuguesa.

As can be seen in the images posted on social media, the women wore outfits that left little to the imagination. As if that were not enough, they began to dance.

A third party who accompanied them in the temple began to record the erotic scene, which was described as an act of “shameful disrespect” by the Catholic Church.

The priest pointed out that the young women, by posting the material on their personal accounts, they were performing ““quite illicit and shameful acts”.

And the response from the authorities was immediate. Members of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc) began an investigation and managed to find those responsible.

The detainees were identified as Yordalys Fernández Mejías (19), Virginia Gil Quintero (25) and DEAA, a minor under 17 years of age.
