Northstate veteran’s Daughter to Receive Stem Cell Treatment After Community Support

ness Moore, who has suffered from seizures for years, is set to undergo stem cell treatment thanks to an outpouring of support from her community and fellow veterans.

after an outpouring of support, a local family of veterans is moving forward wiht an experimental treatment for their daughter, Ness Moore, who has been suffering from neurological issues. The family had been raising money for the procedure in Mexico.

“we’re feeling good, we’re feeling pretty good,” said Arthur Moore, father to 29 year old Nessy. “Ness how are you feeling?”

“Alright, fine,” the young woman responded promptly.

Ness Moore has experienced intermittent and unexplainable seizures as she was 17, each one progressively impacting her mental state. Her parents, Cheryl and Arthur Moore, sought a solution and discovered a potential treatment using stem cells.

“I really believe that [the treatment] is going to help her and give her the boost she needs to get back to a better quality of life,” said her mother Cheryl. “So she can make some decisions for herself and have some freedom to do things.”

Community rallies to Support Ness moore

following initial coverage, the Moores reported an outpouring of support from across the community, particularly from fellow veterans.

“There was a Vietnam war veteran that made a donation that put us over the top,” Arthur explained.

The family was also directed to the Whole Life Wellness Center in Chico, which offered the same procedure at a lower cost and sooner than the Mexico option. Nessy is scheduled to begin the process on June 12th.

“It’s surreal,” said Cheryl. “It’s hard to imagine that we’ve gotten to this point up to now. We didn’t know if there was anything out there that was going to help her.”

In preparation for the treatment,Nessy will spend hours daily in a hyperbaric chamber. She and her family express their gratitude for the support they’ve received.

“Want to say thank you, baby?” Arthur asked. In reply Nessy just laughed.

“Well she’s happy, and she is very thankful,” Arthur said as he and the rest of the family joined her in laughter.
