The High-Performance Hierarchy of May 2026

According to the latest AnTuTu Benchmark ranking, the Red Magic 11 Pro has secured the number one position among Android devices. The device, utilizing the S-8 Elite Gen 5 chipset with a 16GB RAM and 512GB storage configuration, reached a total score of 3,964,036.
The competition for the top spot remains tight among flagship manufacturers. The OPPO Find X9 Ultra follows in second place with a score of 3,876,104, utilizing the S-8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The HONOR WINS takes the third position with 3,764,432 points, running on the S-8 Elite Gen 5 with a 12GB RAM and 256GB storage setup.
The fourth-ranked device is the iQOO 15, which achieved 3,726,374 points using the S-8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and a 16GB+512GB configuration. The Poco F8 Ultra rounds out the top five with a score of 3,646,063, also featuring the S-8 Elite Gen 5 and a 16GB+512GB memory profile.
Further down the top ten, the ranking includes the OnePlus 15 (3,636,163), the Xiaomi 17 Ultra (3,607,590), the Galaxy S26 Ultra (3,548,336), the OPPO Find X9 Pro (3,311,174), and the Mi 17 (3,289,069). The list continues with the vivo X300 Pro at 3,277,737 points and the HONOR Magic8 Pro at 3,160,937 points.
Chipset Dominance and Hardware Configurations
A review of the top-performing devices reveals a heavy reliance on the S-8 Elite Gen 5 architecture. This chipset is present in seven of the top ten smartphones listed by AnTuTu. Even the Galaxy S26 Ultra, which ranks eighth, utilizes a specialized overclocked version of the processor, identified as the S-8 Elite Gen 5 OC.
Memory and storage configurations also play a visible role in these top-tier scores. The top five devices all feature either 12GB or 16GB of RAM, with the highest scores often associated with the 16GB RAM tier. For instance, the Red Magic 11 Pro and the iQOO 15 both utilize 16GB of RAM to reach their respective scores.
The M-9500 chipset remains a notable alternative for high-end performance, appearing in the ninth-ranked OPPO Find X9 Pro and the eleventh-ranked vivo X300 Pro.
Industry Shifts and Market Exits

While performance benchmarks highlight the technological advancements of major manufacturers, the Android market is seeing significant structural changes. ASUS is transitioning away from its mobile hardware business.
During the ASUS Group year-end gala, Chairman Jonney Shih announced an adjustment to the company’s smartphone business, signaling an exit from the smartphone market. He indicated that starting in 2026, the company’s two major mobile brands, Zenfone and ROG Phone, will undergo changes to their operations.
Understanding Benchmark Limitations
While AnTuTu scores provide a way to compare the speed of devices for tasks such as gaming and multitasking, they do not represent every aspect of a smartphone’s utility. AnTuTu determines device power by testing the CPU, GPU, memory, and user experience, aggregating these into a single total score.
According to Gizmodo, these results are not a complete measure of a device’s real-world quality. The benchmark does not thoroughly measure battery life, software optimization, or overall stability. Consequently, a higher score does not always translate to a superior daily user experience, as these other critical factors remain outside the scope of the AnTuTu testing methodology.
